About Amberle
Merry meet, my friends! My name is Amberle. I am a practicing Witch with a lot of eclectic inspiration in my craft. I’m a mother of three humans (two witches and an atheist), two dogs, and the wife of a heathen with an epic beard.
I grew up in the Desert Southwest, where The Land of Enchantment had a lot of influence on my spirituality. The deep magic of New Mexico shows up on my altar, in my home, in my kitchen witchery, and sometimes in my attitude. If you walk into my house, often the smell of chile and cumin permeate the air. Other times it smells like piñon and desert sage. Even though I live in the humid Mid-Atlantic now, my heart still beats with the timing of the desert.
I was baptized as a Methodist when I was young, but my family didn’t attend church very often. One fateful Christmas vacation I found a metaphysical store and spent my Christmas money on Dancing with Dragons, by D.J. Conway — the irony in this isn’t lost on me. The book changed my life, though my evolution into full-fledged, self-proclaimed Witch took many years. Now I’m happy to be able to share my spirituality with my family, and am so proud to be part of a Coven of the most amazing Witches.
In the spirit of sharing my spirituality, I’m pleased to have the outlet of The Hearth and Hedge to allow others to learn, and to learn new things myself. Even if you don’t identify as a Witch, I think there are a lot of great ideas we share on the podcast that will help you be more cognizant as you go through daily life. Enjoy and Blessed Be!!
